Student Learning Objectives

​By the end of the course, students will be able to:

1.  Effective communicators and collaborators.

     Student Indicators:

  • Demonstrates open communication with stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates communication in a timely fashion with constituents.

  • Demonstrates collaborative communication with public agencies.

  • Demonstrates collaborative communication and relationships with the governance team.

  • Develops positive, meaningful and sustaining relationships with all constituents.

  • Develops constructive open communication with classmates, guests and instructor.

 

2.  Ethical leaders and decision makers.

      Student Indicators:

  • Provides the leadership to establish a code of ethics.

  • Models ethical behavior.

  • Expects and reinforces ethical behavior.

  • Models decision making grounded in ethics.

 

3. Leaders who recognize, celebrate, and acknowledge the contributions of all individuals.

    Student Indicators:

  • Is knowledgeable of their own mental models.

  • Consistently develops/advocates healthy organizational cultures in which all individuals are valued.

  • Advocates for personal practices that are equitable.

  • Is knowledgeable of public policy and how policy and law support equal opportunity.

 

4. Leaders who are responsible and accountable.

    Student Indicators:

  • Is accountable for the effectiveness of the academic program.

  • Is knowledgeable of the governance structure and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
