Student Learning Objectives

​By the end of the course, students will be able to:

​

• Explore and screen data for purposes of basic description and assessment of parametric assumptions.

​

• Create data illustrations/graphs appropriate for both descriptive and inferential purposes.

​

• Select the appropriate methodology (qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods) to address research questions and/or hypotheses.

​

• Select the appropriate statistical test given the hypothesis and the nature and number of variables involved.

​

• Select the appropriate qualitative methodology and analysis given the nature of the research questions and population of interest.

​

• Conduct and report the results of inferential tests covered in this class.

​

• Conduct and report the results for qualitative analyses covered in this class.
